Wearing
1. Trousers
Trousers are undoubtedly a must have style this season. They are everywhere in so many textures and colors. I have these and can't wait to start wearing them. And am eyeing these....because corduroy just feels right. Here's another pair too a little more high-waisted. And if I needed another pair, I'd get these.
2. Boots
Boots are obviously the shoe of the season, and the western style is definitely on trend. I'm not going to lean all the way into it, but I did buy a pair of Saint Laurent boots on the real real that I'm loving. If you want to go all in on this style, these are really cute. The other style boot that's really good is the lug sole. I'm eyeing these right now (currently 20% off) because they're water resistant and will go so well with the Mocha Sling Bag. I'm also partial to NO.6 clogs - I can't wait to pull these out again this season. On sale here and here - a steal.
3. Denim
Now's the time we're thinking about dark denim. These are my current favorite. They fit great and still give that wide-leg feel without being too oversized. I also think these could be cute - they remind me a little of my Tibis.
4. A good belt
I've been in the mood for a really good belt for awhile now, and I splurged on this one. I also think this thin one and this one are really good. I know some people are worried about mixing gold/silver but I'm not one of those people. I'll wear the silver buckle with the brass hardware on my bags, no problem. :)
5. Sweater weather
I used this sweater in a recent photo shoot and got so many questions about it. I have it in cocoa and charcoal and love them both. Size down for sure (I like mine slightly less oversized than they show on the models).
6. Stripes
I'm into stripes at the moment. This long sleeve and this button down are constants for me.
7. Suede
I don't think there's a texture that screams fall like suede, and as you can probably guess, I'll be wearing our Caramel Suede all season long. And it drops tomorrow, 10/3!
8. Mary Janes
This style is definitely back! I am wearing these as long as the weather will let me and I'll probably wear tights or socks with them when it gets too cold. I also like this pair of heels and did anyone else have these in jr. high?
9. Buck Mason
I'm obsessed with everything in Buck Mason's fall collection. The trench, the field jacket...even the sweats...everything is really beautiful and cozy. Very hygge.
Listening
The best podcast episode I’ve listened to recently is S7e1 of the Hoffman Podcast with Richard Schwartz. I’ve been learning about the model he developed and named, Internal Family Systems, and it’s super fascinating. If you have any interest in psychology or self-growth, it’s worth a listen.
Watching
Have you seen The Super Models yet (on Apple TV)? It’s really good. I walked away thinking I want to be friends with Christy Turlington and Naomi Campbell.
I’m still watching Only Murders….and although it’s not the best tv I’ve ever seen, I love the cast so much that I’m sticking with it.
Around Town: Charleston
I was in Charleston last weekend for my sister’s bachelorette party. We had a blast and had some of the best oysters I’ve ever had. If you’re planning a trip there, you have to go to Leon’s and The Longboard (on Sullivan’s Island). I’m going to be craving the oysters from both places and the shrimp sandwich from Leon’s from here on out! Also while in Sullivan’s, stop by Goldbug - one of my favorite shops of all time!

If you’re like me, your skin changes with the seasons. I need more moisture in the fall/winter than I do in the summer. In addition to my usual face oil, I’m adding this face lotion to my routine.
I recently started following bakedbymelissa on Instagram and I’m obsessed with her salad recipes. Simple, healthy, and delicious!
Your link to the suede is broken… at least for me. Love all of your picks. Thank you!
