One of the funny things about pregnancy is that it doesn’t really change what I like.
I still stop mid-scroll for the same crisp cotton dresses, beautiful linen separates, woven sandals, and easy summer outfits I’ve always loved.
The only difference is that this summer, most of them simply don't fit me.
So instead of buying them, I’ve been saving them.
Think of today’s post as the summer capsule I’d build if I weren’t dressing a third-trimester bump. The pieces currently living rent-free in my head and the outfits I’d happily wear on repeat from June through September.
In other words, I’m dressing vicariously through all of you!
Loose fitting pants - my friend Natalie has been wearing these lately and I just can’t wait to have a waist again to be able to wear pants that fit like this!
The perfect gingham day dress. Add sandals, a basket tote, and you're done.
I love a low back moment but it’s just not in the cards for me this summer. This dress is stunning!
Ok these fun green flip flops are something I CAN wear this summer…but I just bought this $40 pair instead because I was convinced by the arch support. Though these have been in and out of my cart this summer too.
I love a tube top and this linen material, length, and butter yellow look so perfect for summer. I love when an outfit feels this effortless while still looking incredibly chic.
These pants are a bit outside my usual comfort zone, but there’s something about the relaxed fit that feels like me…I can imagine wearing them with a simple tank or a half buttoned linen button up and flip flops.
Speaking of a linen button up, I have this one in white (though it’s too tight to wear over my bump this summer), but I’d love it in this blue color too.
This whole vibe - I saw this image on Pinterest and immediately wanted to wear it. I’m dreaming of this summer sweater and these denim bermuda shorts.
These shoes showed up on my Instagram and I was stopped dead…they are just stunning. It’s a new-to-me brand and if I didn’t have gold heels I love, I’d be scooping them up immediately to wear to my sister’s wedding.
And I’d wear those shoes with this dress. If I weren’t pregnant and had a wedding to go to this summer, I’d wear this one. If you’re shopping for a dress for a wedding, I rounded up a few other favorites here.
This pink linen button up. I’m obsessed…I love their dresses too.
And these pants are on my wishlist! The perfect elevated lounge pants. Wear them with a bathing suit, a bodysuit, a sweater, a button up…flip flops, bare feet, heels…truly so versatile.
4th of July Edit
Since we're somehow only a few weeks away from the Fourth, I couldn't resist putting together a little holiday weekend capsule. Red, white, and blue, but make it chic. If I were planning for a lake weekend, beach trip, backyard barbecue, or Cubs game, this would be my vibe. You can get all the links here!
Coming Soon/ Final Thought :)
On July 1st, I’m going to have a very special post with a very special discount code from one of my very favorite brands! Stay tuned - you won’t want to miss it!
And last but not least, I’ll leave you with my current smoothie obsession. I actually ordered it in Naples at the Four Seasons and asked for the exact recipe because it’s so good and I’ve been making it ever since!
- 8 dates
- a couple scoops of greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)
- a whole banana
- a spoonful or almond butter (or peanut butter)
- a scoop of cocoa powder
- a dash of cinnamon
- almond milk
xo,
Abby

Love this, Abby!
