Hi Friends!

I have had an overabundance of ideas for gifts and gift guides this year. You should see my notes app! I started sharing last week, but with the amount of ideas I have, if I post just one a week, we’d still be talking gift ideas in January…so I’m going to try to put as many into this post as possible and then finish it up with my next post. I’ll also put them all on my ShopMy so you can refer back at any time. :)

Here’s what we’re going to cover today:

+ holiday dressing

+ gift guide: jewelry/bags

+ gift guide: home/ hostess

+ a really good sale happening right now

I’ll be back with gifts for the men in your life, all things cozy, gifts in the beauty/self-care category, and the best small businesses to shop with this season. In both today’s and Friday’s posts, I’m going to give some extras for paid subscribers because I’m so grateful for your support and want you to know how much I appreciate you. These are really good finds - I hope you agree! :)

Holiday Dressing

I pulled together some really beautiful looks from some of my favorite brands. Whether you have formal events or a relaxed at home holiday vibe, I hope you’ll get inspired by these looks and maybe find the perfect piece for your season!

My family’s Thanksgiving is really casual. My plan right now is to wear this sweater with these jeans and probably these shoes with my favorite socks. :)

If you are heading to a more formal holiday gathering or maybe your office holiday party, I love the pieces I’ve added to this collection. I love finding pieces that have versatility - can be worn outside the holidays (hello sweater dress and blazer) or can be worn in different ways (the fringe top, the lace top, the silk blouse), or to different events (all of the dresses!). The sequin skirt is really the only piece that feels specific to holiday/NYE…and even that can be a classic…something you pull out every year.

This is more what my holidays tend to look like, especially Thanksgiving. All of these outfits are casual, but still feel put together and elevated. Adding a pop of red, a heeled shoe or boot, mixing in some silk or more interesting fabric are all ways to make your casual look feel more special.

I pulled together some festive shoes for the season. Loeffler Randall is my go-to for special event shoes, so I added my 4 favorite pairs on the site right now. I have the gold ones (my wedding shoes) and I adore them! I also rounded up a few others that are less holiday specific, but still perfect this time of year. And p.s. the cream heels are currently 25% off using code: WARMUP.

Gift Guide: Jewelry/Bags

Ok - on to the gift guides! I love shopping for gifts - I love hunting for just the right thing! Jewelry and bags are such a great gift because it’s always nice to freshen up the accessories in rotation.

I tend to focus on necklaces when gifting jewelry because you don’t need to worry too much about sizing. And with earrings, I like to make sure posts are made with sterling silver or a material that won’t irritate.

When gifting a bag, consider what she already has. That will tell you what she likes and maybe could use more of or it could tell you the holes she has in her bag collection. What I know for sure is most people who have purchased our Sling Bag have more than one. Sometimes when you love something, it’s nice to have it in more than one color or size!

For jewelry, I focused on a few brands that I know and love, like Thatch, Dorsey, and Jenny Bird (and more). They range in price point depending on the materials used from $48 to one piece at almost $2,000, with most in the $100-$300 range. And for bags, of course I am talking about our own ABBY ALLEY bags. I’m obviously biased, but we truly have something for everyone!

Gift Guide: For the Home/ Hostess

This was such a fun one to put together because I mixed in a few of my favorite things I have at home (some of which were on our wedding registry) with things I’d love to get as a gift or just have in my home! Flamingo Estate, Shoppe, and Porta are just a few of my favorite places to look for these types of gifts. Click on the image below for links to everything you see below!

ICYMI

One of the brands featured in the gift guide for sweaters, Almina Concept, is having a great sale at the moment. Use code: ACTHANKSYOU25 for 25% off sitewide!

Gifts for Her (or yourself): Sweaters

Is there anything better than a cozy sweater? Just like when choosing a man, there are a few key things I look for before making one mine or choosing it as a gift. :)
