This July was one of my favorite Julys in a long time. I traveled to Mallorca, turned 40, saw some of my favorite people, spent quality time with my family, my summer pickleball league started, and even squeezed in some golf and beach time.
Wearing
This top is probably my most worn piece of the summer. It's what I put on when I don't want to think about anything. I wear these stickies with it (and other tanks I don't want to wear a strapless bra with).
In that same vein, these shorts have been my go-to shorts to wear the tank with.
These red Mary Janes are a fun surprise - so many good colors.
Best easy, breezy linen pants.
The sunscreen I wear on my face daily. And I just started adding this vitamin C serum into my skincare routine. I'm mixing it with my favorite face oil.
Best bathing suit ever. I have this bikini too.
These sunglasses look good on everyone and are $15. They are the ones I throw in my Sling Bag without a case and don't worry about.
Waiting for this dress to arrive. I thought it would be a great end of summer, into September dress.
Reading
I finished books in July, one fiction and one memoir. I loved, loved Night Flowers, by my friend from college Sara Herchenroether. It's SO good! And Wildflower by Aurora James was also a treat to read.
I'm currently reading Bad Summer People...the perfect beach read.
Listening
I recently got back into listening to the How I Built This podcast. I loved Chris Ruder's and Tory Burch's episodes.
Also listened to this one about identity and goals.
Watching
Season 2 of The Summer I Turned Pretty is out, which I'm very into. I'm also on The Bear bandwagon. I don't know if it's because it takes place in Chicago and feels very Chicago, but it’s one of the best shows I've seen in awhile.
Have you seen the Barbie movie yet? I loved it!
Around Town: Chicago
Wilder House in Bucktown continues to be one of my favorite places to shop. Field + Florist has the most gorgeous blooms. We went to Pilot Project to celebrate my 40th, which has a great patio and made for really easy mingling. Very chill. Haro sushi has surprisingly good sushi. Might be my new favorite.

This video on the "correct" way to hang clothes blew my mind.
