This week, the Mini Soirée Bag in Noir launched over on the ABBY ALLEY website. For this product launch I enlisted style influencer, Katelyn Baginski to style the Mini Soirée and what she came up with is not only so chic, but so relatable and really easy to replicate. Win, win, win!
Katelyn has great taste and I’m always inspired by the outfits she puts together, so I also asked her to answer a few questions about herself and style. And no surprise here - I definitely took a few things away from her answers!
Tell us a little about you!
I’m just a 35 year old teen mom of 2 wild toddler boys. My husband and I have been married for 8 years and we live in the North Shore area of MA. By day, I work in social media at an agency that works with clients in the franchise space. Instagram is my little passion project, side hustle, and creative outlet. I love neutrals (even though my 3YO tells me my favorite color isn’t allowed to be beige), styling outfits, home decor, and just romanizing the little things in every day life. As any elder millennial does, I live for coffee and a sweet treat, staying home in my PJs, blasting a jam in the car, a package on the way, and spending time with my friends and family!
Tell us a little about your journey with your own personal style
I think the biggest thing I’ve learned over the years is that personal style is truly rooted in your everyday life. When we dress for our current situation, it feels more aligned. My wardrobe preferences were totally different when I worked in an office or even before I became a mom. Back then, I wore heels, blazers, skirts, etc. every day. Today, I work from home and chase around 2 littles who love a good mess , so I mostly reach for sweats, leggings, and loungewear that’s flexible, comfortable, and washes well. While I prioritize comfort, I also want to feel *somewhat put together. I live by the “elevated casual” mindset: matching sweat set with loafers, leggings and sneakers with a fur coat, anything with fringe - that sort of vibe. An unexpected shoe, bag, or 3rd piece always makes things more interesting!
What 3-5 words would you use to describe your style?
I’m counting “Elevated Casual” as one word, but also practical, neutral, minimalist, and modern!
What do you like about the Mini Soirée/ how do you see yourself wearing it?
It’s so dainty but fits a ton - deceiving in the best way! I can fit my phone, (chunky) wallet, keys, glasses, and a lip gloss. It’s also a 2-for-one with the wrist straps and the hidden crossbody. Beautifully minimal and functional - the soft wrinkle of the leather and the scrunch of the opening add texture and interest. She’s just reallyyy cute and elegant. I see myself wearing her to more formal events, but also to coffee and the park with the kids when I only need my PWKs.
What are your favorite ABBY ALLEY bags?
I’m definitely a Big Sling gal. My favorite is probably my Ivory Croc Big Sling! It’s the absolute perfect neutral and that bit of texture adds just the right amount of depth to any outfit. It’s the one I grab when we travel and just whenever I need to be hands free. BUT I guess if we’re counting days, my black Everyday Bucket Bag might take the cake. It’s my daily driver. And the Mini Soirée may become a new favorite too!
