MDW sales, 4 things in my cart
I don’t know if it’s because it’s been 50 degrees and raining all week, but I am having so much fun perusing summer styles. Let’s first talk about the best sales for this weekend and then get into what’s in my cart…I need your help. :)
MDW Sales
I’m not typically a good sale shopper - I don’t like the pressure of having to make a fast decision. :) But I came across some really good sales from some really great companies, so I have to share.
Up to 40% off at FREDA SALVADOR. I have these sneakers and love them. These are also a classic. If I were to get something from the sale, I think these and these are my favorite for summer. And I saw someone wearing these in white recently and I was really drawn to them. Not being a ballet flat person, I am really tempted, but they are out of my size.
NISOLO, another great ethical/sustainable shoe brand is also doing up to 40% off. These are a classic. Both of my sisters have these and love them. These are also a great summer sandal with a lower heel.
JENNI KAYNE is having a 20% off sale. In all honesty I feel like they have 20% off frequently so I wouldn’t rush to this one unless you are actually looking for something. I just did a quick peruse of what’s available and this beachy striped sweater, this dress, these trousers, and these pleated shorts caught my eye.
AMO DENIM is having a site wide 25% off sale Saturday-Monday. I love the pair I have. These are also really cute!
SOLD OUT NYC is doing 20% off with code MDW20. My favorites are this tank, this tee, and this cropped tank is tempting me!
MODA OPERANDI is having a big sale. Some really good deals! A. Emery sandals, swimwear, denim, jewelry. Lots of good stuff. I snagged these.
AYR is having a sale. They have a really good linen button up available.
SIMON MILLER is doing 25% off with the code SIMONSAYSSUMMER. A lot of really fun pieces.
What’s in my cart
So many things are catching my eye lately. There are certain items I am comfortable pulling the trigger on quickly and others I want to really sit with. Here’s what I’m contemplating:
As I’ve said in last week’s post, I’m determined to find a pair of white/off white trouser style pants. Here’s what I’ve narrowed it down to:
These from Jenni Kayne. The pros - I like the loose fit. I like the raw silk (they won’t be see through). I’m not sure about the length.
These from Ozma. The pros - I know I like the fit because I have this style in denim. The cons - I’m not sure I want this fabric. They are out of my size in the poplin fabric.
These from Buck Mason. The pros - poplin is great for summer and the price is right. The cons - white poplin can be see through and I think I’d size up because I want a looser fit than what I’m seeing on the model.
These from Citizens of Humanity. The pros - the fit is exactly what I’m looking for. The cons - I’m worried they look a little heavy.
These from Tanya Taylor. Pros - they look really cute, they are lined (not see through)! Cons - not 100% linen/cotton and I’ve never ordered from here before.
Or I could go in a little different direction with these from Nanushka. Pros - I like that they are high waisted and a little different. Cons - they aren’t exactly what I was looking for.

I could use one more summer dress in my closet. I have a couple from Mirth that I love and will be wearing on repeat, but since I wear dresses a lot in warm weather, I’d like to add one more. Here are the five that are currently speaking to me, but you can find a whole summer dress round up here:
This one from Posse. I love the back.
This one from Buck Mason. I love everything about it, but do I need another black dress?
This one from Coco Shop. I love this print, but not sure this really is the style I need.
This one from Left on Friday. I can’t figure out the materials used, but it looks really cute.
This mini one by Posse. I love the stripes and think I’d wear it a ton. What’s giving me pause is it’s 100% polyester.
I just grabbed this apron top in Vincent James’s sample sale. I love an open back moment.
These denim jumpsuits are calling my name!! I’m obsessed with the Laurelle and Elina!
