It seems like we’ve finally turned a corner weather-wise in Chicago, so I’ve been wearing much more summery outfits lately. Tom and I also spent Memorial Day Weekend in Naples, which gave me a chance to really think through my “summer third trimester capsule” and whether there’s anything else I actually need to help me get through these next few months feeling my best.
I had a couple pairs of pants already in my closet earmarked for summer because of their elastic waistbands, but I’m realizing I really don’t like how low I have to wear them at this stage of pregnancy. So lately I’ve been relying heavily on dresses and maternity athleisure - anything easy, breathable, and comfortable without sacrificing feeling like myself.
Below are a few outfits I’ve worn recently, both in Chicago and in Naples.

May Favorites
These were your most purchased items this month and, honestly, I completely agree with all of you. A very strong lineup.
Donni Eco-Terry Pants (for the second month in a row!) - I continue to wear them at least once a week. The perfect “looks put together, but still sweatpants” vibe. They are sold out in the gray, but there are 4 other really good colors. I’m partial to the black or white, but I think the red or raspberry would be really fun too!
Margaux Palermo Sandals - I absolutely love how these look. They are getting a little hard for me to buckle with my belly, but if you’re not pregnant, they are the perfect summer sandal when you don’t want heels but want to look elevated.
Tkees Lily Flip Flops - no brainer, summer staple
Vincent James Hutton Linen Button Up - my favorite Vincent James purchase! Heather just came out with a cropped version of this one too - it looks so good!
Lunya Wide Leg Pants - I’ve actually been wearing the shorts a ton for pjs lately because I prefer how they hit my bump, but as soon as I have this baby, I will be living in the pants.
Margaux Deia Sandals - after wearing them a ton in Naples, I can safely say they are very comfortable. For me they beat the Palermo Sandals in terms of walking more than 3k steps in heat comfort. And I love the woven look!
In case you missed them, I’ll leave links to a few recent posts that may help with summer sandals and dresses below.
I have a feeling my summer wardrobe is going to be less about variety and more about finding a handful of things I truly love wearing over and over again.
Honestly, that feels kind of nice.
xo,
Abby
